States around the world continue to block access to certain web pages and content, despite statements by the UN that argue for internet access as an extension of basic human rights to express and receive free speech. Firewhere is a Chrome extension that shows you what countries that have been reported to block the sites you visit.
It is by no means a perfect list; these blacklists are updated frequently, and most countries do not publish their blacklists publicly. This is a list of content that has been reported blocked in the past more definitively than a list of content currently blocked.
Sources for blocked sites comes from herdict.org, a source for people around the world to report site blockages to.
Add your screenshot of any site with the extension activated to the at homepage repository by sending them to hello@barronwebster.com.
